How much does Arcadian Blue Web Designs
charge to design, develop,

and set up a new web site?

Arcadian Blue Web Designs charge by the project, not by the hour. We quote a "baseline" rate for your entire project, regardless of how much time it may take for us to design and develop your site. We feel that by charging by the project, instead of by the hour (most developers charge 35-50 dollars per hour) guarantees us the leeway to insure that we can take our time developing a great site. At the same time, this also assures our customers that we won't exceed an agreed upon dollar investment. If your needs require a more complex site requiring programming, scripting, animation, etc., then we will have to work up a quote based upon the scale of your project. All of this will be explained up front...NO HIDDEN CHARGES!

Typical Site Design Fees:

A "basic" site, consisting of 5 pages maximum will run $350.00.

Sites that require database connectivity, e-commerce, or specialized sites that require custom scripting and or programming are based on the scope of services (and size of the site) we will be providing.

Costs not covered by our fees:

The fees do NOT include your cost of "hosting" at an Internet Service Provider, but we will assist you in getting set up with a good Web Host for your site. If you already have an Internet account, this may not apply.

Fees also do not include the cost of registering your Internet (Domain) name with Network Solutions, which currently costs $35.00 per year to lease.

What does Arcadian Blue Web Designs charge for maintenance of an existing web site?

Web sites periodically need maintained (new content added, revisions to existing content, photos added, etc.) For web sites which might only need updated a few times a year, the fee would be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the estimated effort. For web sites that change frequently, requiring continuing ongoing maintenance, we would negotiate a reasonable monthly or yearly maintenance fee with the customer, depending on the estimated maintenance effort.

Our maintenance of existing sites GUARANTEE:

When a site needs revision or maintenance, Arcadian Blue Web Designs will always seek customer approval before publishing the revised (or new) pages. The revised or new pages will be available for preview online by the customer prior to linking to the existing web site.
